That sweet spot: engaging the body, breathing consciously and slowing the mind. It’s fleeting yet attainable - ironically when not pushing for it. Going against all we are trained to do: strive, strive, strive, it can typically be found when we stop seeking it. For me, yoga is where it’s at. 7 years ago, I graduated from my 500 YTT with @jason_crandell: ❤️Created deep, sweet friendships. 💥Advanced my communication skills that turn anatomy into relatable/ever day material. ✨Broadened my class planning and sequencing. ⭐️Filled the confidence voids with knowledge. ☄️Gained a mentor who continues to learn, personally progress and shares knowledge with graduates. 💫Huge step on the path to private clients… that led to working in physical therapy. This training was advanced and also foundational for where I am today as a person, mentor, friend, yoga teacher, practitioner and PTA. Thanks Jason. As the yoga practice matures, the space between the long breaths and the deepening internal focus provide space to get curious about who you are - how you show up. This constant investment equips you with skills for daily life decisions, relationships and clarity. It doesn’t give you answers; that’s up to you to discover. Making hard things harder… fun? Exciting? Compet
Making hard things harder… fun? Exciting? Competition? What about the WHY? Progressively challenging the body we know is good science. This isn’t weight lifting… Some shapes will fit certain body types better than others. A hard stop typically means bone! Pain? YIKES! And, it’s where the rubber meets the road: why? How do react or feel with a hard stop? Why are you pushing into pain? You’re not bad at yoga if a pose doesn’t meet your expectations… (or worse: doesn’t look like your neighbors!) What reflects is how you meet yourself where you are. I plan to meet you there… can you join me and love the pose your body does?
